Portugal 🇵🇹

Pros: The host was very welcoming and gave us a mini tour of the area. He helped us rent a car and was always willing to help. The apartment is a 15-minute walk from the central beach, and there are shops and cafes nearby. The building is new, and a security guard is present at the entrance in the evenings.

Cons: The building is located on the edge of a favela, where it's best not to go in the evenings, as locals can play loud music.
