Pros: This place was so cozy and a prime location facing the sea , you can hear the waves so clearly the perfect relaxation / sleeping soundtrack ! The bed was comfy and kitchen well equipped to fix a quick meal. There's regular collectivos which go past this place to keep you well connected. The owner was really kind and shown us around him home and let us try some local punch and dessert, he also arranged the collectivo for us back to the port. Thankyou for a welcoming stay 🌊☀️🌄

Pros: It’s basically a one room apartment. There’s a kitchen with basic utensils which I found handy for preparing a breakfast. The bed was comfortable. Owner just finished cleaning the apartment as I’ve arrived do everything was nice and clean.
Cons: It’s front row next to the sea and road, so you may found it a bit noisy. The bathroom is very small including the tiny sink.

Pros: Everything was great. The owner Julho and his wife Osvaldina were absolutely the best hosts ever! Julho took us right the first day to explore the town and the Xo-Xo valley on his car. Then they invited us for lunch to their apartment above for January 1st: it was a very delicious Cape-Verdian variety of typical dishes. And then they took us to the City View Point by car. All that was based on their hospitality and courtesy! The apartment is simple but very new and functional. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook. The fridge, WiFi and TV are working well. Hot shower and two towels per person. 5 minutes walk to all mini-buses for all excursions and right in front of the apartment from/to the Ferry in Porto Novo. 5 minutes from shops and restaurants. Ocean right there in front of you when you open the apartment door. Absolutely recommendable.

Pros: the studio/ apartment on the first line with ocean view. Very clean , has all you need . Very comfortable bed and matress . Small beach right in the front of the house. Very close to the center and to public transport. The owner , Sr. Júlio is very good person, showed me the city with his car

Pros: excellent hosts, super room with great view, clean bathroom, friendly ambience/ also very helpful with information as to where to go, what to do etc, also helped organizing transport back to the ferry

Pros: Convenient location for hiking. Aluguer point is close. Some shops nearby. Clean. Very nice owner, speaks Portuguese, French and a bit of English, quick to respond to questions.
Cons: For the price I paid -- nothing; I've read earlier reviews and understood pros and cons. In general, based on the experience in Feb. 2025, the rooms lacks shelves to put stuff on, and a small oven (1 burner would be OK) is very desirable.

Pros: Il proprietario era gentilissimo. Abbiamo avuto un problema con la porta e ha risolto subito. Ci ha fatto stendere i panni a casa sua e ci ha pure regalato un casco di banane di Santo Antao. La posizione era molto comoda per tutte le principali escursioni nella contea di Ribeira Grande.
Cons: La stanza era troppo umida.
