Pros: Nice big rooftop with view on the city and sea and where you can close a glass door if the wind is a bit stronger, separate kitchen with oven, at night it is a quiet area. It is 5 minutes (uphill) from the mainstreet.

Cons: The room itself is a bit tiny, also because of the big closets. And be aware the staff comes sometimes in your area for laundery. The matrass was a bit thin/old but it was clean. So it was a very good price-quality!

It was pleasant stay

Pros: Hospitality of hosts and beautiful view from terrace. Breakfasts and dinners were simple but fresh.

Cons: Nobody cleaned an apartment during my stay.

Pros: Silvia was really nice and give us good advices on our trip. The view from the living room and from the room on the roof was beautiful.

Cons: The place was a bit outside of the city center but not a big deal for the people that like walking. There is not so much good restaurants in the surrenders but the hostel also make some good meals so it was fine for 2 nights :)

Pros: the host is one of the best person I meet in cap verde , the house is a really well located and the value of the appartement is maybe the best in sao antao ( you are near of the best beach and the best hiking roads ) , I recommend this place 200%.

Cons: perfect maybe the appartement is not so warm ( july ) really good .

Stay like in italian family :-)

Pros: Silvia, the host was very friedly and helpful in everything during our stay. We used oportunity to eat brakfast and dinner few times which were very delicious for affordable prices. Silivia is so adorable person, she borrowed us map for our trekking routes. In the evening after the treking we had oppotunity to listen to great (italian and international) music, which was played by the hosts. It was great finish of long day in the mountains.

Cons: The house is located very close to the street and next to the construction of the building. It was generating annoying sounds from early morning hours and also during the night there was loudly sounds of barking dogs and cockcrows.

Friendly, comfortable and delicious

Pros: We are happy to have chosen this place to stay in Ribeira Grande. The owners were very nice and friendly people, ready to fulfill every request of the guest. Spoke many languages. Very helpful at organising colectivos and taxis, consulting our hiking plans atc. The apartment is actually a rooftop space consisting in one bedroom with bathroom, one half open kitchen space and a lot of outdoor rooftop space, which was awesome for some evening yoga or eating our self made dinner. Cooking was pleasant in the well equiped kitchen. Definitely the best thing was the food they are offering - breakfast or dinner. Some of the most delicious meals we had on Santo Antão.

Cons: Considering the apartment itself, the only thing that I would recommend to fix is the shower. The shower head is old and close to unfunctional. It was quite a challenge getting the water to all the right places :) Considering the other problem - its not a fault of the owners, but right now there is a huge construction going on around the building and every morning we were woken up by a lot of noise very early. But I guess the construction work will be over soon enough.

Incredible family feel and the best place in Santo Antao to stay

Pros: The view over the town of Povoação is amazing and after a long hike it is a great place to chill. Cilvia and Totone are the most incredible hosts - they run a bar that is there for the local people of Covok and it is a privilege to spend time in the bar because it is always for the most genuine and real people of Ribeira Grande, who show so much Morabeza and friendship. But the hosts are the people who make it. Cilvia is so caring for her guests and speaks in every language and every day. Totone went to the football with me and plays the most amazing music. I hope to return because it is everything you want from travelling. A new family. 🙂

Pros: Great hosts, very kind and helpful with a spontaneous medical situation. Very nice breakfast and dinner (homegrown veg/fruits and freshly caught fish), tasty coffee. Relaxed evenings in the hotel bar downstairs with locals and live music.

Best place to stay in Ribeira Grande! Hoping to come back one day!

Pros: The location was amazing, easy to get everywhere around! The view of Ribeira Grande from the top of the apartment’s terrace was stunning! The apartment was super clean, super comfortable. Silvia was absolutely welcoming and such a nice person to get to meet, we couldn’t wish for a more perfect place to spend our last days in Santo Antão!

Pros: We pretty much liked everything about this place. The appartment, we rented, was basic and yes the water could have flowed more plentyful, but..... the warmth, kindness and openness of the hosts was so amazing that you gladly accept a few little things. If you are interested in interacting with the hosts, they are very open. If you're not interested, that's also accepted without questions. When you find the shortcut to the house, it's easy to reach on foot, but follow the road to get there the first time or you may get lost a couple of times. Adding to this, we had dinner at the guesthouse every evening. The quality and the freshness was simply amazing - and so were the quantities. Fresh fish and local vegetables and dishes - we simply haven't had it better anywhere in Cabo Verde so far.

Cons: A little more warm water when in the douche would have been nice.
