Strela Mountain Lodge

Pros: We especially liked that the staff went over and beyond to accommodate our very early travel plans. Thanks very much!

Pros: Very nice terrace with mountain view, friendly staff, cosy room & restaurant. Food was also good.

Cons: No chair & table on the balcony, only a flat sunbed with mattress. Moskito net on the window needs fixing.

Awesome place!

Pros: Really nice and clean hotel. We had the panorama room with great views of the mountains. From the lodge you can do several hikes in the area. They also have a nice terras and a great restaurant. Everyone was really friendly. I loved it here!

Cons: Nothing really.

Lovely Place

Pros: What a beautiful place! The place middle of the mountains are perfect for doing a hiking or only to come down from a stressfully time. You can sit on the beautiful terrace with a insane view and you can eat delicious food. I had a tuna steak on a hot plate and for real that’s nothing how we know fish from europe. It was the best tuna that i ever ate. The people are really friendly and helpful. I am so happy to had this experience there. My boyfriend & me will come back for sure. Incredible location

Pros: The mountain setting has unbelievable views and it's on the main route through to the north of the island. It's located perfectly for mountain hikes which looked to be well posted. The food was some of the best we had on the whole trip. Depending on how close you are with your travelling companion you may wish to opt for the room with a private external bathroom. For the cost and just one night passing through it was perfect for us. Thank you!

Cons: Spotted and had evidence of unwanted wildlife that could be addressed and quite a bad smell outside in the morning so didn't want to sit out on the lovely terrace. For a small independent enterprise in the location it is I think some things can be forgiven...

Cosy mountain stay in the middle of Santiago

Pros: The food was amazing; we also had dinner there and we did not expect it to be this good. Breakfast was also superb. Location is ideal for hiking in the Serra Malagueta, although we would have liked more information because after the rain of 14th November, the hiking path were severely damaged. The room was cosy with everything we needed and a nice terrace with view on the mountains. Despite being on the road, it is very quiet at night.

Cons: I would have hoped to get a bit of soap for showering available, and perhaps an extra shelf in the bathroom would help in putting our beautycase not on the ground. For the rest, it was an amazing stay.

Pros: Excellent location for hiking, beautiful view from the room - good breakfast and excellent dinner available. Easy to get transport to Tarrafal or Praia.

Cons: You need to book early since its seems to be often full.

Wonderful mountain lodge with great food

Pros: A really wonderful mountain lodge with excellent food (try the tuna!) and with that true mountain lodge-feeling. I also think it’s the only good accommodation in the surroundings. The rooms have a great view, but the one at the top is the best. One of the hosts (Adam I believe) was super friendly and outgoing.

Cons: The bathrooms only had a curtain instead of a door, and the room at the top had a bit of mould (but nothing too bad).

Amazing scenery, a must sleep :)

Pros: The panoramic view room on top is the best room to be in. Very comfortable, no noise, big, a lot of privacy. The food in the restaurant is very good, the staff very friendly. We loved it.

Cons: The last night we changed to a standard room underneath the panoramic one. Here we had a lot of noise at night from other people outside on the terrace of the restaurant.

Pros: Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with amazing staff.
