Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here. We loved that it is located outside the city in a village, where you can hear roosters crowing in the morning :) We got a room right next to the terrace and slept very well. The beds are comfortable. The staff were extremely kind — we were truly impressed. Magali helped us with recommendations for hikes. The food was good, especially the ice cream:). We had a very relaxing stay and appreciated that the staff speak English. If we return to Cape Verde, we would definitely love to stay here again. We highly recommend this place.

Cons: Things to consider: it’s good to have a car to get around easily. We extended our stay by one night and the room we received afterwards, with windows facing the street, was noisier. If you stay longer, the traditional dinners every evening might not suit everyone. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, but portable fans are available to borrow — we personally didn’t need one, as an open window was enough.

Pros: Nice, clean and total friendly and kids friendly. We enjoyed the food und the great location

Pros: Cote de France feels like a safe haven amid wilderness. Magali and all her staff members are super sweet and helpful. Very comfy beds.

Cons: Our room was a little bit humid, hot water only running in the sink (which was not a big problem given the outside temperatures).

Pros: Great breakfast and delicious dinner (for a very fair extra). The accommodation is located near the Serra Malagueta Natural Park, in a quiet village. There's space for parking your vehicle and the staff is super nice, helpful and attentive. The room was clean and cozy. The terrace has a lovely view over the mountain and on clear days you can see the islands of Maio and Fogo.

Cons: Nothing bad to report. Just to consider: if you don't have your vehicle it might be tricky to move around. We did not investigate much, as we had a car, but it seems easy to move from here to Tarrafal and Praia, as it's on the main road between them. Not sure if it would be as simple in case you wanted to venture a bit off the main road. Pillows are quite small (squared, they seem like couch pillows), thick and hard for my taste. But the bed is comfortable

Good base to explore the island with a nice restaurant

Pros: Basic but clean rooms. Wonderful and very affordable evening meal and great drinks.

Cons: Nothing in the nearby vicinity. (But a lot a bit further away. )

If only all guesthouses were like this :)

Pros: Absolutely lovely staff members and the best food we had in 2 weeks of travelling in Cape Verde. Do not hesitate to go for the half board option (EUR12.50pp) which they will message you about before you arrive. The views from the terrace are stunning and the location is perfect; we did a fantastic 17km hike loop in the nearby NP, but there are shorter options too.

Pros: Fantastic dinner, highly recommended to choose this option (they will offer it to you after making the hotel reservation).

Pros: Exceptional homemade dinner and breakfast (dinner was €12 per person). The owner is extremely helpful and spoke several languages including English and French. All her staff were really friendly and helpful. Pleasant outside seating area.

Cons: Bed could be a little bigger.
