Privat Apartment with Pool View!

Pros: very clean and comfortable private apartment in a huge very new resort complex. The host is very friendly and helpful - the late transfer from airport was very helpful for us. Nice balcony with pool view. Nice beds. Modern bathroom. Equipped kitchen. Pool is <1 min to walk - taxi stand 2 min. Nice sandy beach front with a nice open cafe within 5 min walk. 30 mins of walk at the beach you are on ponta preta beach - a very nice but cozy beach in the wild with a nice beach restaurant / bar.

Cons: the apartment is in a huge (!) modern resort complex. If you prefer resort life, this is ideal, but the next town is 5 EUR per taxi or 30 mins walk - the resort focusses on all inclusive guests - so there are only a few free access restaurant options and shops in the area (but you can buy into the all inclusive on a daily base as well) - no towels for the pool available. TV / internet in the room was disabled - but we did not asked to enable, because we did not needed.

Excellent place to rent from a lovely hostess!

Pros: The place was clean and well equipped. It had everything we needed. Everything was new. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for cooking and eating. The only one thing I missed was a potato peeler, to peel a cucumber to make a salad. Everything else was there. Even washing up liquid and cleaning materials. It was quiet enough, providing we were facing the swimming pool. The hostess, Celina, is a lovely person!

Cons: We had troubles receiving the keys for the apartment, mostly because of lack of understanding how everything in Cabo Verde works and because I hadn’t switched my data on. I didn’t expect that what we were renting was a private residence. After everything was sorted, it was easy-peasy. Thank you, Celina! You are such a wonderful host. You explained everything we needed to know.

Great apartment, shame about ........

Pros: Apartment was lovely, clean and modern. Good location. Hotel complex was great. Beach was amazing. No issues with the property, great value for money.

Cons: No staff to meet us on arrival, which started the ongoing issues, owner and host did not take responsibility for it. I was looking forward to meeting Celina as previous reviews stated how lovely she was. However a few days before I was due to travel, I received a message to say she will be on holiday and unable to meet us at the property, (fine), Celina sent me a link to make payment, I had trouble using the link, I attempted a few times, then I thought it must be because I'm using a credit card, and the link was to transfer, I was told at this point to open a Revolut account as that would make it easier, I declined. In the end,I asked a friend who had a Revolut account to do the transaction, and it worked. On arrival at Dunas, due to mis- communication from the driver and lack of transparency from host, when I went to check in, I was asked for booking confirmation, I should the hotel my booking. com booking, they said I can't stay as privately owned apartments are for friends and family only, I called Celina, who shouted at me and said why did you mention Booking.com, it's said they asked for confirmation, she said I told you not to tell them about Booking.com, I said we have never spoken and all our communication is documented and you never informed me of this, she said the driver should have told you, I said he didn't, she said don't worry, just go to the apartment and I will send them an email. Celina sent me a text message to say email sent to the hotel, ( that was 25th April, the hotel never received an email). Celinas text said \

Great value, especially with kids. Don’t miss the sunset!

Pros: Comfortable bed in a clean apartment. Quiet location, but great view. Lots of facilities for children at all ages. Appr 10 minutes + to walk to the beach, with the most amazing sunset and a nice ice cream shop. Tea and coffee available in apartment. Could by breakfast at the hotel buffet.

Cons: To find really good food you will have to go to town, in my opinion. But that is not Celinas fault ✨

Pros: Apart très propre avec tout le nécessaire. Céline très gentille, adorable et disponible. Je recommande aux visiteurs de Sal

Pros: Adoramos a nossa estadia. A Celine esteve sempre disponível para nos ajudar e deu-nos dicas valiosas sobre atividades e restaurantes da ilha. Recomendo.
