Meeting Point Hostels-Tarrafal Center

Pros: Very friendly staff, the location and facilities are also great - i would definitely be back!

Pros: Superb location in the heart of Tarrafal close to everything needed, eg aluguer stop, restaurants, shops and only a short walk to the beach. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dorms looked great too. The kitchen & bathroom facilities were also good.

Cons: Wifi was patchy, which seems to be normal for Cape Verde.

Clean and nice and close to everything. Do not expect a functioning shower in the private room.

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room clean. I had privacy because I had my own room. The place is very close to everything. I really liked the decorations.

Cons: I did not like the shower. I had to clean the water from the floor with the mop every time and keep the shower head in my hand because there was no real support. The shower head was also broken in the middle so water was coming out from different parts and the shower was in itself an \

Pros: There was a very bad rain and the situation in the whole city was not great. The hostel staff worked as a team. It is amazing to know that you are surrendered by such great people in unexpected situations.

Cons: There is sand all around the toilets - I am not sure if this is possible to avoid as it is a beach please

Great stay as a solo traveller in Tarrafal

Pros: Kaida was an amazing host, very heplful and gave good recommendations. I felt very welcome and met great people!

Huge spaces and wonderful vibes walking distances from everything!

Pros: I couldn’t have asked for more! A wonderful hostel right in the center of small Tarrafal, just steps from the sea… a magnificent beach with crystal-clear water! The shared room was spacious, with a beautiful balcony, clean, and the beds really comfortable! The kitchen (actually two!) was large and had everything we needed, and the bathrooms were clean and comfortable… taking a refreshing shower at the end of the day was a real pleasure. I met amazing people, but the real luck was meeting the owner, Kaida! A cheerful, sweet, incredible woman - a force of nature and truly wonderful… she made me feeling like home with all the advices I need for a great stay! I’ll be back, Kaida! Highly recommended!!! The place to be!

Pros: The owners were so friendly and attentive to everything. I had an issue so I texted her and she dealt with it within minutes. She also allowed me to transfer one of my nights from Praia to Tarrafal. The hostel itself is nice and spacious and well located :) thank you!!

Cons: Usually I like more of a social experience and there weren't many people there due to low season. Nothing wrong with the hostel though!

Pros: All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Zidane gave me great recommendations. The location is great, wifi was good, everything was clean and I slept very well in the dorm. I would stay again.

Pros: +Spacious, clean room with a small table/chair and a fan (room 5) +Great communal indoor seating area +First accommodation to accept credit card payment (currently a rarity for budget accommodation) +Smart lock on room, therefore no need for a key or card. Just need to remember the code given. +Very helpful and friendly reception staff who speak English +2 kitchens available to use +Aluguers/ beach/ shops etc all practically on your doorstep Note- there are only 2 shared bathrooms- personally I did not experience any issues in having to wait to use them. Water pressure can be low at times but seems a CV issue and not an accommodation specific issue.

Cons: Nothing. Would stay there again.

Pros: -clean + big rooms -comfy bed -friendly staff -warm shower -good location, everything nearby

Cons: Dont book a room at weekends. The sourrounding area is extremely loud (party music till 07:00 in the morning 😅 )
