Switzerland 🇨🇭

Nice location

Pros: The location is good and near the beach. The bar at the entrance is nice. As we had an early flight home, the even served breakfast already at 06.30h.

Cons: The construction is very simple, made of wood, and therefore the rooms are very noisy. You can understand the people talking in the next room and as well to the corridor you hear everything.

Pros: The hotel is nicely situated in the middle of the village. Quiet, clean, great breakfast and a very friendly and helpful staff: I would certainly recommend Aquilas!

Pros: Due to our travel schedule, our stay at this hotel was only one night, but if we had time, we would definitely have stayed longer. Very pleasant owner, clean and comfortable rooms in a minimalist style. Plus, a beautiful large sandy beach just a few steps from the hotel.

Ecological accomodation in a fishing village next to the beach

Pros: The owner and staff are very friendly, helpful and forthcoming (and the engagement for the local football club is truly great). The view from the top-floor room to the ocean and fishing boats is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset or early in the morning. Turtle watching is very close, and turtle beach bar next door is a great spot for drinks and food, seeing the fishermen returning with their daily catch is amazing.

Cons: Some more shades in the outside of the top-floor would be nice, and you can still improve on the coffee. Given the strong winds, the surroundings are quite dusty.

Great staff!

Pros: Great staff - Janelo was extremely helpful and the lovely lady who helped prepare the breakfast! The hotel is well located. San Pedro beach is one of the best on the Sao Vicente!

Cons: The rooms are not soundproof and the bedding can be more comfortable as it’s clean and tidy. Quite overpriced for what you would get though

Great for couples and solo travellers. Not so great for families.

Pros: The breakfast was great, and the staff was always very kind and helpful.

Cons: What I dislike the most are the rooms, which are too small for a couple with a kid. Also, the rooms lack privacy because they face the street. Because of that, the price does not match a family's comfort.
