Excelente staff, beautiful place, incredible breakfast w/ local products <3

Pros: Very cool place, wonderful breakfast and very friendly staff. Barbora helped us a lot with local tips for eating out and taxi rides right at the door. They have musical instruments you can use and the neighbours are also bery cultural savvy people, we really enjoyed the place!

Cons: The facilities were ok, but our room had a private bathroom outside the room itself which we were not counting on, but honestly it didn't make such a difference, we had our privacy anyway. It's not really a negative, just a heads up if it is a deal breaker for you!

Pros: Staff is super attentive, helpful and nice. Breakfast is gorgeous. Location is not super close to Plateau but is a calm area with several options of nice restaurants.

Cons: My mattress was uncomfortable, full of lumps which made it difficult to sleep. My other 3 friends did not find theirs uncomfortable.

We really felt at home here, wonderful staff, comfy beds, good breakfast and air conditioning.

Pros: Breakfast every morning was really good with a variety of fruit juices, Jams, bread, eggs, yoghurt, fruit and local produce. The coffee was from the neighboring island of Fogo and was really good

Pros: I couldn’t have wished for a better introduction and immersion in Cape Verde. From the warm welcome into their charming and colorful home, to the thoughtful attentions like introducing me to Camoca at breakfast and arranging a late-night airport transfer, every detail was perfect. I truly enjoyed our fascinating conversations about local traditions, the long chats with Barbora and Carla, their excellent recommendations, and the genuine kindness they showed. Also DEKUYI Barbora for all good vibes & calabaceira e tuuudo ! An unforgettable stay, highly recommended!

Being here was even better than being at home

Pros: The guesthouse was bright and cheerful the bed comfortable but customer service absolutely outstanding. They followed up when my plane came in late to ensure I had a taxi from the airport and arrived safely. Staff were also absolutely outstanding when I had to reschedule travel arrangements talking me through options and rebooking. They even cooked up a traditional remedy for a persistent cough I had…

Good layover place between flights

Pros: Clean and spatious rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly people.

Cons: A lot of mosquitos in the room. Roadside rooms are noisy at night, ask for room at the back of the building.

A Fun Stay with a Warm Welcome at O Jardim do Vinho de Praia!

Pros: We had an amazing experience at O Jardim do Vinho in Praia! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help with everything we needed, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. We enjoyed our time so much that we ended up coming back again during our stay! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic time with exceptional service.

Cons: Everything went 100% perfect.

A pleasant stay in a charming B&B

Pros: Our room was basic but extremely clean, with both a fan and airco which cooled the room very well. The breakfast had both sweet and savoury options, and fresh fruit.

Cons: There was some confusion upon our arrival - no-one to meet us (the manager arrived after 10 minutes, following a phone call by another guest). We'd requested a twin room with balcony. The room had no balcony and some quick rearrangement of furniture was needed to change it from double to twin.

Pros: The location, the terrace and the friendly staff. Good to meet other independent travellers too

Good stay for a quiet introduction to Cape Verde

Pros: Mainly French-oriented guesthouse in a residential neighbourhood with some restaurants. Good guesthouse, nothing fancy.
