Portugal 🇵🇹

Pros: This guesthouse is in a perfect spot at the top of the Paul valley, in a small village, with easy access to amazing hiking routes and also a great 8km walk back down the winding cobbled road to the coast (easy to pick up a coletivo or aluguer for a ride back up). We had the apartment at the top, which has amazing 360 views of the surrounding mountains and down the valley, and has its own terrace (besides the communal rooftop terrace). Sandro is an excellent host and has plenty of local information to share. A great breakfast was brought up to the apartment every morning. There’s a fabulous local restaurant next door (Andy & Dju) which uses organic produce and has vegetarian options. Can’t think of any reason to stay down at the coast if you want to make the most of the hiking opportunities in this beautiful valley. Hope to go back some day :)

Cons: We hit a bit of a cold snap (in January) and there’s no heating of course, so bring warm clothes for when the sun goes in or down! Also be aware that there are limited opportunities for buying food supplies.

Great stay in the Paul Valley

Pros: The host is very friendly and helpful. The terrasse is really nice with the mountain view and the cozy seats. It‘s a great starting point to a number of hikes in the Paul Valley.

Pros: Todo perfecto. El apartamento era una pasada, todo exterior, con una terraza enorme y con vistas fantásticas. La cercanía y atención de Sandro, de 10. Un trato muy familiar (incluso te llevan el desayuno al apartamento)

Pros: Tout, l endroit est merveilleux. Vue imprenable sur la vallée de Paul, les rhums fait maison de Sandro, la simplicité du lieu, les échanges, les randonnées accessibles à pied des le logement..

Pros: De ligging, hoog in de vallei, biedt prachtige zichten . Uitstekende en centrale plek om vanuit te wandelen. Sandro is een fijne gastheer met gouden tips. Probeer zeker het restaurant naast de deur!

Heerlijk verblijf op de rand van de Paúl krater.

Pros: Mooie lokatie, warm onthaal, lekker ontbijt met panoramisch uitzicht. Sandro heeft goed voor ons gezorgd en wist onze wensen en gebrek aan organisatie te anticiperen, hij boekte een tafel in een nabij gelegen restaurant voor ons en kookte zelf als we nergens meer terecht konden. Dank u Sandro en nog veel succes!

Cons: eigenlijk niets, zelfs onze was werd gedaan!

Schöne Pension in einem schönen Tal

Pros: Wir hatten die traumhafte Wohnung im Dachgeschoss. Es gab ein einfaches, jedoch sehr leckeres Frühstück mit selber geröstetem Kaffee. Es gibt die Möglichkeit ein Picknick zu bestellen. Wir hatten Reis mit Gemüse und Wurst in einer Tupperbox, sowie einen Apfel. Nachtessen gibt es in einem der nahen Restaurants. Sandro war sehr freundlich und gab auch Tipps zu Wanderungen.
