Pros: The apartment for five was very spacious. Even if we were more than five, there would be plenty of space for more. A completely equipped and functional kitchen allowed us to prepare any meal at any time, plus the short walk to laginha Beach makes the Maya Apartment the best value for the money in Mindelo. On top of that, the host, Mr. Rómulo, was extremely helpful as he went out of his way to get us back an extra night as we lost our flight back home. I truly recommend Maya Apartments

Pros: The second floor apartment (one bedroom, two single beds that can be joined) is quite big and has a nice south & west oriented terrace. A few things are on the way to be fixed (mainly bathroom plumbing - which was not a main issue, since there are two bathrooms inside). Breakfast, prepared by the maid, was good - sometimes even excellent - most of the days. Romulo (and his brother Octavio) always responsive and willing to help.
Cons: Sure that with some extra measures this place will realize its full potential. The second part of our stay we had some bad luck (noise) with a group occupation on the first floor - reconsidering the option of group reservations might be a solution to avoid this. Wifi (local network) was good, but external internet connection did not work most of the time, which indicates problems with outside infrastructure/cabling and/or internet provider (Unitel) - we had no internet problems at all with Wifi connections elsewhere in Mindelo.

Pros: Very kind and helpful owner. Good and quiet location. Not so far from the beach.
Cons: Breakfast was included in the price, but in practice it looked like we were bought a few basic items at once on the first morning and made our own breakfast for the following days. This surprised us a bit. It was very hot inside - however we asked the owner for fan and after that it was much better!

Pros: The owner was very helpful and really interested in making our stay pleasant. Location is very good, near to the center but also to the beach. The studio is comfy, endowed with a small kitchen, maybe a pan and small pot could be added for the guests who want to cook, but for us was more than enough. We would definitely choose it again for our next trip in Mindelo .

Super séjour
Pros: Nous avons passé un super séjour à Maya Apartments ! L’appartement était spacieux, fonctionnel et très bien placé proche de la plage des commerces. La terrasse sur le rooftop est très sympa, le responsable des lieux a été très présent pour nous et a répondu à nos questions. Je recommande vivement ce logement !

Parfait / Awesome
Pros: Le logement était idéalement située à 10 minutes à pied de la plage et du centre-ville. Bien que ne vivant pas sur place, Octavio était très disponible, serviable et nous a conseillé de bonnes adresses pour découvrir la culture et la gastronomie du Cap-Vert. Pour information, le petit déjeuner n'était pas inclus mais il y avait de bonnes patisseries/boulangeries dans les environs. The accommodation was very well located, only 10 min by walk from the beach and city center. One of the hosts, Octavio was attentive, friendly, helpful and provided good addresses to discover Cap-Vert culture and gastronomy. The breakfast was not included but there were good bakeries and pastry shops around.
Cons: Si nous devons vraiment trouver un défaut, il s'agirait du débit d'eau de la douche qui était un peu faible. If we have to find a negative point, it could be the water flow that was a bit low.

Pros: Emplacement idéal pour découvrir Mindelo, entre centre, port et plage. Appartement très spacieux dans quartier très calme. Gérant disponible et à l'écoute pour répondre au mieux à nos besoins.
Cons: Cet appartement très spacieux présente un gros potentiel mais les équipements (vaisselle, déco...) très minimalistes viennent en amoindrir la qualité. La question du petit déjeuner ( compris ou non) n'a pas de réponse claire !

Pros: Accueil du propriétaire exceptionnel, celui ci a tout fait pour nous satisfaire.Merci beaucoup à lui. Nous étions un groupe de 8 personnes , l'appartement très grand avec une cuisine mais sans vaisselle ni ustensiles pour cuisiner. Le PDJ compris s'est fait le 1er matin dans une autre appartement plus petit, à l'étage et occupé....pas très pratique. Voyant que cela ne nous convenait pas , le propriétaire a fait venir une personne très agréable parlant français. Il nous a aménagé la cuisine, vaisselle , tables et chaises.Nous avons pu cuisiner les 3 soirs suivants. Une personne est venue nous préparer le PDJ les 3 matins suivants, peut être pas forcément nécessaire pour le groupe que nous étions avec le matériel nécessaire qui avait été apporté. Je conseille cet endroit.

Pros: Feb 16 to Feb 20th, 2023. 3 Floor left studio apartment. Maya apartment is a small apartment located near downtown Mindelo. The apartment offers all the amenities needed for a self-sufficient stay. The key word is self-sufficient. It is private and safe as it is located near the Police Station and military base. I enjoyed my stay and had no complaints.
