Santo Antão conquista o seu coração ❤️

Pros: If you look for a guesthouse, which is very local, down to earth and welcoming Romana guesthouse is the place! Just opened recently, very quiet @ night and allows you a dive into capeverdian life. You can also enjoy a local dinner at the guesthouse or eat lunch in Divin' Art, which is close by and belongs to the same family. The owner Elda has been a guide for hiking tours for years. His French and English is excellent, and he can provide very useful tips for hiking.

Cons: Its about 1,5 km out of Ribeira Grande, which is easy to walk. The collective taxis stop at night, so it might be better to get a taxi for the ride home, which is convenient and affordable. As a single woman traveller I would choose the second option. Santo Antão is generally a very safe place, but its getting pitchblack after sunset.

Pros: Tout est bien: l’emplacement tranquille au milieu des bananiers, le petit déjeuner très bon et copieux, nous pouvons même manger le soir. Helder est aux petits soins pour nous il parle Français et connaît très bien le coin.

Pros: Un peu retiré de la ville, tranquille Vous serez accueilli par Helder et sa famille Les petits déj sont top On y mange aussi très bien le soir Helder étant un ancien guide, il est très facile de communiquer avec lui. Il parle très bien le français
