The best papaya juice and jam for breakfast

Pros: This accomodation is much better than it looks on the pictures. The room was spacious and clean, and quiet at night. The breakfast was amazing - the best we had in Cabo Verde. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and although the English of most of the stuff is very limited, we always managed to somehow understand each other. David is fluent in English and was very helpful in providing tips for hikes and logistics.

Pros: The studio room I booked was very spacious. Excellent WiFi. Varied breakfast. David was very helpful and professional when I had an issue.

Cons: Opposite a restaurant with live music but this was normally done by 10:00pmish so didn’t affect my sleep.

The best guest house in Santo Antao

Pros: The room is comfortable. I live on the rooftop, there are also lounge chairs. The breakfast is so nice. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Great spot in Ponta do Sol

Pros: Lovely owner, plentiful breakfast, amazing location directly opposite Mini Familiar (groceries and restaurant). Everything is clean, beds comfortable, if a little hard. Lovely sunrises from your window. Quiet, as it's a sleepy street, and only one direct neighbour in the room next door. I absolutely LOVED having access to a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge at all times during the day - you can always make a cuppa or a snack. This is a much better quality accomodation in Ponta do Sol than anywhere else we stayed, by a country mile.

Cons: When you need the bathroom at 3 am in the morning and you have to cover the 2m outside to the (private) bathroom door - it's not cold, just very windy. The live music at Mini Familiar goes on until 10:00 - 11:00 every night, but we didn't mind. The bathroom would benefit from a shelf of some kind.

Pros: The terrace, the view from the room, the comfort of the bed, the generous breakfast and the kindness of the staff.

Cons: Veeery long check in. Cocroaches really made it difficult to relax. Triple room had a private bathroom outside the room which you need to unclock before the use
