It's all about the location

Pros: The room was basic but clean. The location and stunning views made it all worth it. Dinner was excellent, and so was breakfast. Staff had little English but we managed to communicate :-)

Cons: The room felt a bit damp but it was okay once the windows were left open.

A gem of a find

Pros: Absolutely stunning location. Middle of nowhere, but still accessible by taxis. Rooms clean and fresh. Breakfast and evening meal available for a small charge. Drinks sold, and there is a small shop next door. Walks galore locally.

Cons: Hard to say what i don't like, there are shared bathrooms and its isolated so make sure you're well prepared but it is a beautiful place. Great hillside walks through the valley, can even walk to Paul - however the walk isn't for the weak. Cash only

Pros: The staff. re very friendly and helpful and the location is extremely good.

Cons: The humidity of the room but it's normal you are in the middle of a forest. Absolutely in my expectation

Pros: The location is lovely and the breakfast was very good. It's quiet at the top of the valley and a brilliant starting point for long and short walks.

Cons: The bedroom doors really are in need of a blind as you can see through them quite easily! Like the other guests I pinned a towel over my door when I was in. I would have appreciated a bedside lamp in the room.

Pros: The location is out of this world in terms of beauty and drama with great walks into the mountains straight from the door. The breakfasts were great with eggs. Toast, fruit. Jam, sliced cheeses and meats, and sometimes cachupa and cake! Plus tea, coffee and fruit juice all buffet style. The evening meals were wholesome if a bit samey if you stay any length of time. Our ensuite room was comfortable and there is a terrace where you can sit and gaze out over the gorgeous views. A remarkable place. Not sophisticated but definitely memorable - in a good way!

Pros: My stay in casa xoxo was really nice! The place is very calm in the mountains but it’s not that hard to get there. Bruno is a very nice and helpful person and the food was amazing too! Perfect location for hikes and to go around Santo Antão. Muito obrigada!

Beautiful local experience at Casa Xoxo

Pros: Our experience at Casa Xoxo was incredible. The views we had from our room and from the common areas would remain in our minds forever! The food they prepared for us everyday for breakfast and dinner (this last one was optional) was delicious and made with love! The personal was really helpful and warm. The rooms were confortable and clean. We would repeat here again and again.

Pros: The views are fantastic! Breakfast was nice :) We stayed two night, one night the dinner was fantastic!

Cons: The beds are a little uncomfortable, but since we were hiking a lot we slept anyways. One night the vegetarian meal wasn't that good, maybe they didn't have a lot of options? Because the second night it was way better!

Pros: As vistas deslumbrantes, a simpatia de todo o staff.
