Residencial Bibi

Pros: We spent six days at this guesthouse. I contacted the owner a month before our arrival. Liana was quick to answer in English questions and provide recommendations (for example, that we should take the shared bus from Porto Novo to Ribeira Grande, which was easy and inexpensive, and the driver would take us directly to the guesthouse door). Liana was waiting for us with a smile at the door of Residential Bibi. Breakfast was very good and served at the appointed time, allowing us to enjoy our hikes. Internet access is available in all rooms. Thanks to Liana and her sisters, we felt at home at this guesthouse. The guesthouse is located in the heart of Ribeira Grande, close to restaurants, shops, and aluguer stops in all directions.

Cons: The bathroom need improvement, it is difficult to take a shower without flooding the bathroom.

Pros: All what you need for a really good price. Breakfast was also nice. Just be aware the the owner cannot really speak english but a mix of french and portuguese helped. Location in the middle of everything.

Great base for all your Santo Antão adventures

Pros: I felt very welcome. I felt at home. Great to talk to other travellers during breakfast.if you don’t want to, you can also sit outside and enjoy the garden. The first night we had a room on the side of the street which was pretty loud.I came back and then had a room facing the inner court and it was very quiet and pleasant. The ladies that run our true professionals but make you feel like family. It’s simple, and older but comfortable.

Pros: Plase is perfectly located, the ownes and the ladies that work there are very nice and helpful. Finally, the breakfast was excellent and complete to prepare for a hiking.

Gute Pension im Zentrum

Pros: Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.Ausgezeichnete centrale Lage, und trotzdem ruhig. Gutes Frühstück für alle Gäste, im Preis inbegriffen. Wir hatten ein 3 Bettzimmer mit eigenem Bad.

Cons: Zum Bookingcom Preis kommt noch eine Kurtaxe pro Person dazu.
