Beautiful escape and place to relax after fogo hike

When can I come back

Pros: This was one of the best places I've ever stayed in (I'm only 24). The balance between being in the middle of nature, and having some luxury, space, incredible food... it's exactly what I wanted. I felt like a retired old lady being perfectly taken care of.

Peace and quiet in Fogo.

Pros: The lodges were lovely in a calm environment . The bar and Restaurant served us a delicous breakfast and also the dinner choises were perfect! Very helpfull staff and friendly owners.

Cons: Nothing, just perfect.

A true oasis on Fogo

Pros: The location, it was very quiet and it really is like an oasis on the dry and barren Fogo. We loved hearing the birds sing and we loved looking for the birds, the insects, the grasshoppers. The bed was very good and the bungalows have a very nice veranda where you can sit and listen to nature. The dinner is very good (to be honest, it was a bit too much... the plates are really full) and the area around the bar is very nice to sit and just look at the direction of the sea.

Cons: Two things: 1. We have stayed here 5 nights and there is hardly any variety in the breakfast. Five days the same fruit, the same scrambled eggs, the same (white!) bread. I don't think it's very hard to put some variety in it. Make a different kind of egg (or ask what people want), put some brown bread and I understand that you have fruit from your own trees, but maybe buy on 2 days in a week some fruit from the market. Five days the same was too much for us. 2. The hot water, we had perfectly hot water in the first 2 days, then it stopped, the waterpressure was also very low to nothing. The sun was there all day (so the solar power should be enough) and there were no more guests then the first two days. We asked and suddenly the staff didn't speak english anymore (they did when it comes to other fun issues). We didn't get any explanation about the water, they kept on showing us the QR code and yes, we have read this, and yes we understand if there is not so much sun or if there are many guests, but that was not the case. It would have been nice to get an honest explanation, now we felt everybody was running away from it. But please let this not keep you back from booking this (more than) lovely place on Fogo!

Very calm and relaxing

Pros: Very calm place, great restaurant and nice staff. Helped us with booking tours around the island and volcano. There are a lot more/bigger plants and trees than in the pictures here, which made the whole area even better. You are surrounded by the sounds of nature and can really kick back and relax by the pool or in the restaurant.

Cons: Due to the closeness to nature there were lots of mosquitoes, so bring some repellents! We also wished there had been some sort of table to sit at in front of the bungalow and bigger bins inside the bungalow.

Pros: Excellent lodge conforme aux informations. Repas top / personnel top

Pros: Great place to sip cocktails by the pool. A great place to stay after hiking the volcano and just doing nothing. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: It's somewhere you will end up just staying at the resort the whole time but that's what I wanted. They organize taxis and tours to things if you want to get out.

Unique stay in the rural part of Fogo

Pros: Cool location. Very natural surroundings. Dinner was delicious and fairly priced. Breakfast very good too. Enjoyable place to relax as there is not much nearby.

Cons: The entire pool/deck area needs a renovation. Wood is splintering and paint peeling. Not very nice area for a swim.

Pros: We had a lovely stay, the ecolodge is beautifully situated in nature. While you have the privacy of your own little cabin, you can socialize with other guests at dinner or during the day in the restaurant area. The pool was nice and quiet. The food was delicious! You can tell they try not to waste any food and are mindful of energy and water use. The staff was really helpful.

Cons: Something they can't help: the spiders! Apparently November is prime spider season in Cape Verde, and I'm not a fan! Also, while my partner really liked the soft beds, for my pregnant self it was hard to turn in them and less comfortable. But that didn't take away from a lovely stay!

Pros: Incredible location and project. Lovely thoughtful hosts. Total tranquility.

Cons: Nothing.
