WONDERFUL in EVERY WAY - an amazing stay

Pros: It was wondeful to stay here. VERY friendly and informative staff - good breakfast providing exactly what You need - comfortable bed - and real fast WiFi. On top of this came a FANTASTIC undisturbed view from the room to a wide canyon and to the Atlantic Ocean where the sound of the wawes gave a true feeling of tranquility. Also the location of the hotel was the BEST in town. On a beautiful square with the old cathedral on one side, the ocean on the other side and the hotel in between. Nothing could have been better for the moderate price. There is some renovation taking place but this gave NO PROBLEMS for my stay...

Cons: Nothing - taking the moderate price for excellent location and an amazing view from the room into account

Discovery of Ilha do Fogo was a very nice surprise, in particular the Vulcano area.

Pros: The staff (both the in hotel and the restaurant) was very friendly and helpful. The location was great, with sea views. The internet was good (once we find out how it worked for our room!). The air conditioning was good. Breakfast was good.

Cons: It would be good certain updates of, say furniture. lighting (e.g. bed lights, a table lamp, the curtains to block better the light, one or two additional plugs ). Maybe a more clear information on how to do with internet. But overall, the value for money was very good

Pros: Very good location with stunning view, very nice terrace, room has big balcony, comfy bed, AC&TV&FRIJ and has clean bathroom. Breakfast is delicious and generous. Kind mister at the reception is really friendly and helpful. (There is a little bakery just few steps from hotel 😋) Very recommended!

Cons: There are many insects in the area, mosquito/insect nets for the beds is a must-have

Pros: This establishment takes time to understand the needs and wants of their clients. The rooms are cleaned daily with free breakfast. A plus is that this hotel is owned and operated by locals who cares and knows about Cape Verdean culture.

Pros: L'emplacement au top, juste au dessus de la plage de sable noir, le personnel est sympa. 😎🇨🇻

Cons: Les équipements à restaurer, desfois juste un petit coup de tourne vis sur la robinetterie Par exemple. Cabine de douche vieillissante. Sinon c'est un Bel hôtel, mais le temps passe

Best in Fogo!

Pros: Highly recommend in Fogo. Overall best value. Great location, clean, comfortable and super quiet, tranquil overlooking beautiful beach. Hear the waves lapping at night puts you to sleep. Not to mention the delicious food! And best of all the staff is warm and accommodating. Even better is the care of the owner, affectionately known as « seafood » he takes great care of his guests and has the best hotel in Fogo!

Cons: Peaceful, tranquil, great location and view. Amazing restaurant and if the island experiences a power outage, the owners generator will keep the a/c and electricity going! Best option in Fogo, hands down
