Bamboo Xaguate Hotel

Wholly recommend. And Sao Philipe is the most beautiful and friendly of places.

Pros: Fabulous hotel, enormous pool, great views and friendly staff. We particularly love the fact this hotel is very clean, excellent linens and quality beds etc but is sustainable in that original features are well looked after instead of being ripped out and replaced every few years as some hotels do which is really bad for the planet.

Cons: Loved everything. Only suggestion would be to include more vegetables at breakfast. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, with 3 varieties of melon but some tomatoes, cucumber or other fruits would have complimented the excellent hot foods on offer.

A great stay - highly recommended.

Pros: Really enjoyed my stay here. It was in the centre with a great view and I really enjoyed my afternoon by the pool after a gruelling hike to the top of the volcano in the morning. I had set off for the hike at 06:00 before breakfast so they made me a sandwich and cake and yoghurt to take on the trip. I really appreciated that. The staff were very nice, the girls on reception and Pape in the pool bar.

Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like. When asked this question many travellers use it as the opportunity to think of something to complain about. All was good.

A great mid range option with excellent pool.

Pros: A very comfortable room and the pool was great. Staff were also excellent.

Pros: The staff are so lovely and attentive, especially the breakfast / bar staff. They can't do enough for you. We only ate breakfast there the 3 nights we were at the hotel, so I can't comment on lunch or dinner. But the breakfast buffet options were really good. There's also a note that asks how you like your eggs, I asked for omelette with ham and cheese 👌🏼 The pool is cleaned every day, and I enjoyed a good swim. We had a great view from the bedroom of both the pool, the sea, and Brava island. 😍 I'd definitely stay again the next time I'm in Fogo.

Beautiful pool

Pros: Beautiful pool! Foog yummmm en 3 minutes walking to restaurants, supermarket! Very central! Also safe to walk in the dark!

Pros: Lovely Hotel confortavel for stay clean staff excellent breakfast very good management very young staff all professionally i stay firt two nights i extended for 10 nights i will sta again but hotel needs refurbishment realy needed thanks to staff Reception to restaurant and rooms sorry young mae at reception i forgets your name the girl from Brava the breakfast waiting and girls all nice tkanks you all very much sammy manuel socorro Fernandes.

Pros: Yeah hotel very secure clean but needs refurbishment realy heeds staff very good at breakfast at reception cleaner over all my favourite place .I have stay room 212 lovely room but cupboard door furniture need lots attention door as well very young team all very good i will stay again this is 3 time Bed vere comfortable good views to Brava islandas. Pros: Everything.The hotel is a little bit Old, but the people of Fogo strugle to get things to the island and when they have they're expensive.So with this difficulties the hotel is very well maintened.Very clean, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.The pool is amazing. Not on the center, but with a restaurant (very good) and mini-supermarket (the cheapest for water and wine).But near the center (10m walking).Love it.Thank you Xaguate!

Unforgeteable

Pros: The hotel exceeded our expectations. Big space. Very quite. Breathless view to swimming poll and see. Very big balcony. We have an unforgeteable weekend indeed. Thank you
