Pros: Fantastic location amongst greens of Sao Vincente interior Excellent access to hiking trails right from the doorstep Room ready before official check in time - thank you! Extremely picturesque access to the quinta which is actually a great walk on a cobbled road from Sao Domingos

Cons: Cleanliness in eating areas could be improved; lack of that leaves a lot to eat for flies While rooms were exceptionally clean, minor fixing is apparently needed here and there. For ex, room 17 did not have any bulb in the terrace lamp Exceptionally long wait for lunch on arrival day which contrasted abundance of staff at the time We did not have any warm water in the shower (but had in the sink).

Pros: The location on the top of the mountain and in a village. The restaurant was nice. The views were fabulous.

Cons: It was a little like a field camp, the lights in the room were dim. But they were big.

A great alternative to staying on Fogo as our flights were cancelled

Pros: The property was great. Nice views and near to the hiking trails. Very powerful shower. Free strong Wi-Fi in the public areas. Amazing manager who was fluent in English and strives to ensure everybody was happy.

Cons: Nothing - on reading some bad reviews I feel this is naive and unfair. The hotel is High in the mountains. Bring a fleece if you feel the cold. Also you are in a developing west African country - if you expect Sandles - then book that. This hotel is a great example Of hard work and vision.

Excellent base for hiking with good food, friendly people and an amazing view at very fair prices

Cons: Some minor safety issues for a toddler: baby cot had some broken pieces; balcony fence a large gap

Pros: Breakfast was very good. The personal helped us to select a good hiking trail and can also organize other activities. They seem to work closely for local people and focus on sustainabiliy.

Pros: Amazing location, beautiful views and friendly staff. Clean rooms, great hot shower with good pressure. Reliable strong WiFi. Fabulous, well sign-posted hikes nearby.

Cons: The pricing of food and drink was not clear as there were no menus provided- would be great to have a menu for clarity. Otherwise we were very happy and loved our stay.

A marvellous place for relaxing in the hills with excellent food and good views

Pros: We had a fabulous three days stay here. The rooms were very comfortable with lovely views from the balconies. we enjoyed walking in the surrounding hills. We had excellent massage on site. The staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant is excellent with a delicious buffet supper and a pleasant breakfast.
