Hotel Dunas de Sal

Beautiful hotel where the beach is less busy but a bit remote from Santa Maria restaurants.

Pros: The design and decoration of the hotel. The flowers and the garden is beautiful and peaceful.

Cons: The lack of the cleanliness of the pool (because of breakfast nearby, lots of things fly away in it). Drinkable water in the bar was not free (4-star hotel)

Amazing

Pros: Everything was amazing !! very clean and breakfast was nice too ! and the room super well isolated from noise. All flowers décoration was very cute too :)

Cons: Just it's far from center, but 20-30min walk it's ok :) !! check in time was random for me. it was 14h in the end 15h because room wasn't ready. but i was happy to wait in front of swimming pool and nice music :)

Very quiet and simple cozy hotel.

Pros: Nice hotel at the good location just one block from the beach. They have own zone with sun beds on the beach. Room was big size with huge comfortable bed. A lot of space for sunbathing around the swimming pool nice garden. The only thing what was disappointing was breakfast very boring everyday same stuff plus a lot of sugar. For person who is not eating sugar was too much unhealthy options.

Pros: The room was big and clean with a nice balcony. Bed was comfortable, sofa-bed not so comfortable. Pool area is great, although very exposed to the wind. Good breakfast, with lot of options and very tasty dinners. Amazing staff, always available to help. Location is a little far from the center.

Great place to stay to spend a few days relaxing.

Pros: Location was perfect! Staff was professional and very helpful in anything we needed. The beach is across the road.

Lovely experience although the police in Praia airport were abrupt to Africans and sal airport need

Pros: Satisfied with the variety. The staff were professional and helpful.

Cons: The Wi-Fi in the room was weak

Pros: My son (4yo) was sick and all the staff was incredibly warm and kind to us and to him. He was in need of a special diet and they provided us with no extra charge.

Cons: It could have more activities at evening and night time. Specially for kids.

Hotel Dunas de Sal, Santa Maria - good value for money

Pros: Rich Breakfast buffet, size of hotel was just right, not too big, still close enough to walk to Santa Maria, clean and comfy, kind and helpful staff, calm and relaxed atmosphere

Cons: Not directly on the beach front, bike rentals relatively too expensive, no complimentary bottle of water offered in the room, not even for arrival day.

Great Hotel with an extra smile

Pros: Very nice Hotel but we were particularly impressed by the hospitality and the friendlyness of the staff in all areas. We are travelling a lot but thus was the outstanding positive experience of our stay at the Cape Verde.

Overall we had a really lovely relaxing stay. The staff were brilliant!!!

Pros: Staff where great!! helpful and attentive. Any issues that arose from our group where dealt with immediately.

Cons: Required the lift to get to the 3rd floor - quite often after 11.00pm you were unable to use it. I think that the hotel should advise guests of any restrictions or times for use of the lift. Both my partner and I, experienced being stuck in the lift for short periods on separate occasions. This was quickly resolved when I pressed the alarm, however it does make you feel apprehensive when using several times a day.
